Chez-halima is a family business specializing in the production and sale of hand-processed dates, outstanding for their top quality and naturalness. Our dates are grown from the best crops in Middle East, where they are carefully selected to ensure a top-quality product. Our history begins many years ago in the lands of Maghreb, where our family has been growing and processing dates with passion and dedication.
From an early age, we learned the secrets of processing these precious fruits and this recipe handed down over generations.
As years passed, we decided to bring our experience and our tradition to Switzerland, where we opened our workshop, “chez-halima.” The idea of creating the company Chez Halima originated in 2022 when Halima’s husband Leo decided to choose Ticino as his place to live. After years spent in the UK he moved here to Locarno as a bar manager in the most important hotel in Ascona where he still works. Halima joined him and they started thinking about bringing this recipe to Switzerland to open the business she has long been dreaming of. After studying the project for a while and expanding the family, as in the meantime Soujoud was born, Chez Halima was founded in early 2024.
Today Chez Halima operates in Locarno with the idea
of preserving their product for a niche market in order to ensure the highest quality, trying to be represented by a single sales point in each town. Unique in our approach and proud to remain a small company . This choice is driven by values that the family tries to express through their work and respect for our customers. Swiss quality, Mediterranean creativity, attention to detail have resulted in a product that is unrivaled in the world.
